Michelle Jacobson

Michelle Jacobson is a Partner in the Chicago office of Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy – the world’s largest immigration service firm. Throughout her stellar career – spanning nearly two decades – Michelle has led client teams in the establishment and modification of immigration compliance policies, and has served as a trusted advisor to clients’ businesses, international mobility, HR, talent acquisition and legal teams to help them better understand the impacts of administrative decisions to their immigration programs. Importantly, she has been champion of pro bono initiatives, assisting with asylum, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Violence Against Women Act cases through the National Immigrant Justice Center, and routinely assists with DACA and citizen workshops through the Resurrection Project. For the second consecutive year, Michelle was named to the appointment-only Advisory Committee of the American Bar Association’s Commission on Immigration.

Michelle received a B.A. with Honors from Northwestern University. She also holds a juris doctor degree from Boston University School of Law. She began her career at the U.S. Department of Justice Attorney General Honor Program in 2001.

Michelle lives in Chicago with her devoted husband Eric, their exceptional daughter Cecilia, and their lovable black lab Charlie. She enjoys all outdoor activities: running, biking, skiing, hiking and camping. She loves to travel to new places and looks for opportunities to explore new locations.
