Hanxiao Gu is CASL’s Human Resources Manager and recently joined CASL to support its vision in thriving and prosper in a diverse and inclusive world. Hanxiao has over 4 years of HR full circle management leadership experience with private and nonprofit organizations. She graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS). Hanxiao was very active and served in several key leadership positions within various student organizations while pursuing her degrees, thus she was awarded the 2019 Career Development Achievement Award for a graduate student issued by the Career Development Center at UIS due to her exceptional leadership skills.

Hanxiao has a wide range of HR Management experience in both non-for-profit and private industries. She is dedicated, able to take initiative, and willing to go above and beyond with a can-do attitude. Hanxiao is currently certified through 2026 as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) and Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).

Hanxiao has been actively involved and volunteered on the CIC-SHRM board as College Relations Chair and Recognition Committee member. She served at the UISSHRM Student Chapter as Professional Co-advisor and the IL Fox Valley SHRM Chapter as a Board member in 2023. She likes to travel around the world and exploring different cultures.
