Jiasheng (Jasper) Yu joined CASL’s Alzheimer’s Program in 2023. As the case manager, he is responsible for providing cognitive and behavioral wellness consultation in Mandarin Chinese and English, linking clients with appropriate care and resources in the community, and conducting community outreach and workshops to promote awareness toward cognitive and behavioral health. Jiasheng is also an Illinois Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), holding an MS in Mental Health Counseling with a rehabilitation specialization. Jiasheng focuses on counseling with adults, older adults, and caregivers. Jiasheng is also a MoCA-certified rater who is eligible to conduct cognitive screening to identify mild cognitive impairment for early intervention.

Jiasheng is grateful to accompany people during their journeys and witness the resilience with everyone he has worked with. Working as a case manager and a counselor, he believes his job is to unlock the essential strengths already existing in every person.
