Laurie Respass is CASL’s Manager of Development. She has been part of CASL’s mission to catalyze the transformation of individuals, families and the community for an equitable future since 2018. Laurie has worked in the nonprofit industry since 1998 and has held a variety of positions in development—including special events, volunteer coordination, donor relations, database management, and more. In addition to her bachelor’s degree in marketing from University of Illinois at Chicago, she has her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification and certifications in entrepreneurial studies and nonprofit management.

What Laurie enjoys most about her work is knowing what she does makes it possible for organizations to change lives for the better. She enjoys engaging with clients to hear their stories, and knowing she played a part in helping achieve their goals. A true people person, Laurie truly finds joy in connecting with others to find out what gets them excited and helping connect them to programs where they can make a difference.

In her free time, Laurie enjoys animals, arts and crafts, and volunteering for other charities. She has volunteered with A Silver Lining Foundation and Hyde Park School of Dance most recently.
