Sheila Frost serves as CASL’s Community Health Navigator Associate Director, bringing over 20 years of experience in program development, evaluation, community engagement, and organizational management. Her diverse background across the nonprofit, higher education, and municipal sectors in Chicago positions her to drive impactful initiatives that enhance equity by expanding access to resources for historically marginalized communities. Sheila’s strategic leadership emphasizes building high-functioning teams and strong community partnerships.
Before joining CASL, Sheila founded a nonprofit consulting firm and held various leadership roles in community outreach, workforce development, higher education administration, and teaching. She specializes in data-driven program design, evaluation strategies, community asset assessment, and collaborative project management. Sheila has successfully enhanced workforce training and academic programs, significantly increasing achievement rates while fostering a culture of learning and advocacy.
Sheila holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. As a passionate community advocate, she has actively participated on multiple boards and committees, inspiring collaborative efforts that expand access to knowledge and resources for individuals, families, and communities. In her free time, Sheila enjoys exploring new neighborhoods and restaurants with her family, gardening, and walking her dog.
